If it's not been touched for months, then it's finished? Well, even if it's unfinished, it can be public too.
Dots of different sizes, not touching each other (for most of the time) … took me quite some time back then
(I wouldn't be able to stick to the style, so if you need more glyphs, just clone it and do it youself ;) the license should permit this)
a square typeface intened to be used for single words, small phrases or for brand names and logos. However i feel it does have a nice textural look when used for large bodies of text. My first published type of Fontstruct. Any feedback would be very much appreciated.
This type face was originally inspired by the title of horizon zero dawn, I have a love of Sci-fi and wanted to bring something bold with some movement built directly in. I veiw this working well being writen in an eastern style straight up and down, but also large and spread out.
This font is based off the theme 'Wicked'. This is just a draft, but it is a complete set so I will leave it up to show my progress. This font uses spooky dead trees to make letter forms. This was not intended to have anything to do with Halloween, but the full set of characters was completed on this fateful 31st. Feedback is welcome!
Zakhrafa is a type of Islamic art which consists of embellished geometric designs. It is often used to complement Arabic calligraphy on architecture to bookcovers and various media. The inspiration of this font comes from the various Islamic patterns that can be seen on buildings all across Qatar. After living there for 8 years, I learned a lot about the Islamic culture which is what I want the font to reflect.
This is a cloneWorking under the theme of 'Rebirth', I have focused my first font on the idea of post-war architecture, or otherwise commonly known as modernist/brutalist architecture. Buildings constructed following the Second World War were built using new technologies of construction. These types of designs were known for their use of modern materials such as concrete and steel as well as their interesting geometrical forms. I was heavily influenced by the architecture featured in Owen Hopkins' book 'Lost Futures' which looks at the disappearing architecture of post-war Britain and how changing external contexts played a role in the subsequent destruction of these buildings.
Inspired by fountain-based architecture, I've created my first fontstruction for the start of my UWE Graphic Design course. For this, I poured water onto different surfaces/objects with varying shapes to capture the cascading effect as reference images. Originally, I was first inspired by watercolour strokes to make a gradient effect, which developed into the idea of water fountains used in contemporary architecture.
Fun inspiration. I might add some alternates if I feel the need;) but as it has taken me this long to add occasional glyphs adapted from my own unpublished collection I suggest you sit back and find your own muse to invade your mind, encouraging you to add more glyphs and share with us your own versions of this style, based on your own unpublished and experimental fonts.
This font was created and used as a cookie cutter in the process of developing the connect the bots typeface.
---connect the bots---
Inspired by electronic circuitry, combined with a retro flavour in the structure of the letterforms, this display font is well suited to any computer / electronics or technology related application.
The word ‘systematic’ was taken as a starting point for development, and led me to draw upon a personal interest in the inner workings of electronics. The ordered chaos of all the connections running hither and thither is extraordinarily beautiful.
This is a clone of connect the botsThis collection of joyful hearts ;) is my 3rd entry for the LOVE competition 2016.
This decorative font consists of the UC and LC in bL, some in mL and exL1, plus a few punctuation marks.
Yes, there are 2 different heart types in here :)
An attraction might be those few special heart glyphs arranged on some of the punctuation (etc) spaces: great to embellish your messages. Or use them to decorate gift tags, stickers, jam jar labels, book marks. Or (using special papers) use the font and/or hearts on iron-on designs for t-shirts, hankies, place mats etc. You could even print your own gift wrap for that special person, printing on continuous paper for large presents ;)
