I am very surprised at how readable this is in Microsoft Word. I did not intend this font to be readable. The whole idea was to use all angles and no curves so that I could hopefully have thousands of glyphs without the font getting too huge. Readability is a nice bonus.

Digital vandalism.

I started this font before vandalism in the USA, so it has no related meaning.

Enjoy the grinding of pixels across the screen in a digital punk style font. Uppercase letters are made on the computer, and lowercase letters are made on the smartphone. This reflects the different freedom of the two versions of the Constructor.

Maybe it sounds like a fantasy
but with the new fontstruct function, I would like to smooth or simplify the outline, this could improve many already made fonts that go beyond the grid and tend to be smooth, but still have irregularities in the outline from the blocks.

Наслаждение скрежетом пикселей по экрану в шрифте в стиле диджитал-панк. Заглавные сделаны на компьютере, а строчные сделаны на смартфоне. Это отражает разную свободу этих двух версий Фонтструктора.

Может это звучит на грани фантастики, но новой функцией fontstruct я бы хотел фидет сглаживание или упрощение контура, это могло бы улучшить многие уже сделанные шрифты, выходящие за рамки сетки и стремящиеся быть плавными, но ещё имеющие неровности в контуре от блоков.

Taking influence from the rough punk attitude, the guitars smashed on stage and the emblems adopted by the rock and roll artists of a previous generatoin, this font forces a suit over the piercings, the long hair and the tattoos and sits them down from 9-5 to work a desk job.

"Blimey!" is a typeface inspired by the 1970s Punk movement- paying notice to the political, economical and social issues of the time and how they affected what we commonly refer to as the “Punk Aesthetic”. Ransom note lettering, stencils, silkscreen printing and the appropriation of current cultural imagery aided the movement to deliver its important message of rebellion. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Starting off with the theme "Dangerous", my focus for this project drifted to the definitions of both “rebellion” and “anarchy”. This naturally led me to the Punk movement and how it’s graphic style has been adopted into contemporary design practice. These graphics were often rough, raw, weathered and distressed- all of which I’ve tried to incorporate into my own type’s design. Ironically, the fact that this “style” is being used for commercial gain goes against the very foundations of Punk itself. This realisation spurred on the font’s name Blimey!, an ironic expression that is perhaps the furthest away from punk itself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This typeface would be best utilised in consideration to posters, flyers and possibly book covers (providing the content matches the attitude of the font). A punk in a suit: the initial inspiration for this font came from the theme 'loud'. My thought process was that actions speak louder than words, and the Punk movement in the ‘70s helped people through a lot of social and economic unrest; punk communicates effectively. Consequently, I approached creating a typeface with the DIY mentality of punk. I observed the approach of Jamie Reid, the zine culture and various band posters to identify with the distinctive cut and paste style. I then considered how this could be used to communicate with more than one audience at once while retaining the punk aesthetic. This led me to create a typeface which is conflicted between serif and sans-serif; it features jerky counters contrasting with chipped bowls; it’s a font designed to appear cut up and pasted back together in line with the traditional ethics of DIY punk. VIKING is a false-historical font evolving from Elder Futhark Runes. This runic typeface is based upon the ancient Germanic symbols later adapted by the Goths, Anglo-Saxons, Vikings, The Third Reich, and within Fantasy genera, depicted as Dwarven Runes.
